Donations are our lifeblood.

We take donated technology, renew it, and turn it into a device that feels new again. Each device given reflects a broken barrier, the next milestone, or a personal accomplishment coming to fruition.

For $20, Aeras Foundation can rehab a donated device with a new SSD or cabling and turn it into a new-to-the-user device. For each $1,000 we raise, we impact 50 individuals without technology.

We are giving hope, a second chance, and an opportunity to advance. It allows us to give the greatest gift of all: the chance to advance to those who need it the most.

OUR IMPACT

1,800+ devices collected

Since Fall 2020, Aeras Foundation has collected more than 1,800 electronic devices from donors. We intake laptops, desktops, tablets, and cellular phones that are otherwise collecting dust in a home or storage facility. After our renewal process, the device is placed into the hands of someone in need.

7,500lbs+ recycled

Not all devices can be renewed due to age or damage. Aeras Foundation ensures that no donated electronic device filled with rare earth materials and housed in plastic beyond renewable use ever touches a landfill. Together with our partners at Orlando Recycles, we have prevented over 7,500 pounds of electronic waste from being tossed in a landfill.

750+ devices donated

Gently used technology able to be renewed is professionally erased, retrofitted with a solid state hard drive, outfitted with additional memory, and provided new charging cables where needed. Once a device passes testing at Aeras Labs, it is packaged and ready for delivery to a new owner.

GIVING HOPE

Local Orlando Middle School

In May 2022, the Aeras Foundation team with CREATE at UCF donated 21 iMacs to a local middle school immediately bringing 811 students advanced technology at no cost.

Together, let's #BridgeTheDigitalDivide.

BUILDING OUR COMMUNITY

Aeras Ambassador Program

In 2021, we launched the Aeras Ambassador Program—a program targeted towards high school students with passion to support their peers. We teach Ambassadors technical skills needed to refresh technology and encourage advocacy to spread awareness of the Digital Divide. We currently have 30+ trained Ambassadors in Orlando, Florida.

Meet Kady: The Youngest Aeras Ambassador

Kady is in 8th grade and is already taking the initiative to build a relationship between Aeras Foundation and her school to encourage donations of electronic devices to minimize e-waste.

She also started her own non-profit organization at 6 years old. Read more about Kady and her mission at www.etreasure.us.

It’s elementary, dear Watson! Actually, it’s high school—Merritt and Watson, high schoolers at Winter Park High School started an Aeras Club and devoted hours of their time collecting devices and spreading awareness about the #DigitalDivide.
